Andhra Pradesh - Transfer Ration Card (Smart Ration Card)


Procedure

  • If anyone shifts from one place to another place in view of transfer, Marriage, resettlement etc. they need to apply for a new ration card in their new place of residence

Apply In-Person

  1. As a first step obtain Surrender Certificate from the concerned ration office of the place from where the person was residing previously.
  2. In order to transfer ration card, please apply with ration office of your new area where the applicant resides now.

  4. Please go to the respective office.
  5. Applicant shall obtain the form from the respective office (please pay for the form if required) Or a written/electronically typed application on A4 plain sheet as advised shall be used or use the following link to download the form form link
  6. Please submit the completed application form along with required documents to the respective authority.
  7. On accepting your application, authority or clerk will check the details and issue a receipt as acknowledgement.
  8. Please keep it safe for future reference,
  9. This submitted application will be processed by the department, After ground level verification and physical inspection by the Supply Officer applicant gets notification.
  10. If all the process are successful, applicant will get the ration card as per delivery mode (delivered through postal or on hand)

Apply through Meeseva

  3. Fill all the necessary information in the application as required and sign at appropriate place
  4. Do not fill any wrong information, otherwise the officer of department or Meeseva officer will reject your application form
  5. Attach all documents, and submit the application form with prescribed fee to the Meeseva operator.
  6. Meeseva operator will process your application and upload them to issue you an transaction id and application number. Please keep them safely. This will be helpful in knowing the status of your application.
  7. This application form will be processed by the respective department.
  8. Applicant will receive notification from the department. Please follow the guidelines to ibtain the ration card.

Need for the Document

  • For implementation of the Targeted Public Distribution System(TPDS), Ration Card is being issued to all the heads of families, with details about family members included in the card. Based on their economic condition, people can buy goods like food grains, sugar and kerosene with the help of their ration cards.
  • Ration card is a mandatory document for all individuals in India. It has to be renewed before it gets expired.
  • Ration card is essential to apply for passport, PAN card or a domicile certificate or to even get the name registered for electoral rolls to get a Voter ID.
