• Removal of mortgage from vehicle registration certificate is important to claim the ownership of the vehicle, which in case of hypothecation, will be in favour of the lender. As and when the loan repayment is complete it is advised to apply for this procedure to claim benefits like Insurance.
  
  

Apply In-Person

1. Make sure the repayment of loan. Get the nil balance statement or on the lenders book.
2. Get a no dues certificate from the lender. This certificate will state that you have completely paid the dues to the lender.
3. Please take the NOC from lender to ensure that the lender does not have any objection with vehicle loan hypothecation removal. Make multiple copies of this document. Please approach RTO immediately to apply as the validity of the NOC is for a limited period only
4. To remove mortgage from vehicle registration certificateapplicant has to approach their RTO office. Please follow our “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this page to get details of the RTO offices.

7. Make sure that all the required documents are in hand.
   
8. Application forms can be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that should be completed and presented with appropriate fees.
   
9. Please submit the forms along with set of documents at the right counter.
10. The officer at the counter will start processing your application. Please pay as authority quote.
    
11. Verification of document submitted. Physical verification of vehicle for chassis number will be carried. After verifying the submitted documents, applicant will get an acknowledgement receipt.
    
12. Please keep it safe for future reference. Authorities will inform applicants date and time to visit RTO office to collect updated RC book.
13. Applicant shall leave the office now.
14. Applicant shall go back to the RTO office on the advised date and collect the updated RC book from the respective counter after counter signing the registry.
15. Please check whether all the details mentioned on the RC book are correct and error free.

Apply through State Portal - Andhra Pradesh Remove Mortgage (Hypothecation) from Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC) Online with Images

1. Application for change in address for vehicles can be made through : Online Portal
2. Please select “Registration Services” under “Registration”
3. In the next screen, select “Hire Purchase Termination” and click “NEXT” button to get the next screen.
4. Enter the registration number of the vehicle. Please select “BIOMETRIC” option from the drop down list under “Choose Option”.
5. Youwill prompted to enter Aadhaar card or Voter ID. Please fill requisite details accordingly.
6. Please click “I Agree” and click “NEXT” button to reach the next page to initiate online application procedure.
7. You will be taken to a screen where you have to choose the day and time that you are planning to visit the RTO office related to the application
8. Please follow the instructions appropriately that are displayed in the follow screens for filling the application forms and uploading required documents.
9. Take printout of the application form including Acknowledgement form and go to nearest RTO office before 11:30 a.m. and submit the application to the RTO official. Authorities will advise the fee amount to be paid. On the appropriate counter pay the fees and submit the application and documents to process the application. Officials will start processing your request to remove mortgage in RC
