Andhra Pradesh - Apply for Electrical Contractor License


Procedure

Apply In-Person:

  1. Application form for electrical contractor license in Andhra Pradesh is available in the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Department : Contact Link, E-mail ID Link
  2. Applicant has to enter all information the application form.
  3. Applicant must make sure to carry all necessary documents that are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page. (Both photocopies and originals)
  4. Applicant should attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form while submitting it at the office.
  5. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per authority’s request.
  6. If all above-mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the electrical contractor license will be provided within 3 months.
  7. If there is no information regarding license is not provided by concerned authorities, applicant can visit the office to know status of their application.

  • Affidavit from Notary on a Rs.20/- stamp paper
  • Self-addressed envelope
  • ID proof (AADHAR Card, Voter’s Licence)
  • PAN Card
  • Address proof (Ration Card/Rental Agreement)
  • Documents stating the details of previous works
  • Attested Copies of experience Certificate
  • Birth Certificate
  • School leaving certificate of the applicant, owner and supervisor
  • Copies of certificate of EHT/HT/LT installation work.

Eligibility

  • Applicant must have a 10th pass certificate.
  • Applicant must be an Indian citizen and must have Andhra Pradesh residential address.
  • Applicant must be above 21 years of age.
