Apply In-Person:

1. The applicant cannot renew their license in Andaman & Nicobar Islands if they have obtained the same from another state.
2. To renew a driving license in another state, the applicant has to approach the RTO of the concerned state and make an application. Find contacts to the transport department in India in the link provided: Link.
3. To complete the application, fill in all the mandatory details as required for license renewal.
4. Make sure to have all the necessary documents in hand before applying. Find a list of necessary documents in the "Required Documents" section of the page.
5. The applicant shall make the required payment in order to proceed further.
6. On successful application, the applicant will be granted a renewed driving license.
7. The applicant shall collect the same from the RTO of the concerned state within 30 days.

Apply Online:

1. To renew a driving license obtained from another state online, the applicant has to visit the following link: Link.
2. In the License Related Services section, click on the "Drivers/Learners License" to proceed to the following page: Link
3. Select the state name to "Andaman & Nicobar Islands" upon which a new page will open up.
4. Click "Apply for DL Renewal" on the same page to proceed further.
5. If the applicant is aged above 40 years at the time of applying for Renewal of Driving Licence, please be ready with Form 1-A duly signed by an Authorised Registered Medical Practitioner. Find the link to FORM 1-A at the bottom of the page provided here: Link.
6. Now click on the "Continue" button as displayed at the bottom of the page.
7. The applicant shall provide DL Number and DOB to get the details and click on the "Proceed" button.
8. On a new screen, fill in all the applicant's details as requested and upload the "Required Documents" along with a photograph and a scanned signature.
9. A pop-up screen will open up where the applicant needs to book a slot for the driving test.
10. On successful booking, the payment page will pop up where the applicant needs to make the requisite payment.
11. Verify the payment status and print the transaction receipt.
12. The applicant may check the status of the license or obtain the license either by providing License related credentials or by login into the account in the portal.
