Apply In-Person:

1. Any individual, in need of information about a rewarded (on whom the government or the government agencies has announced a bounty of huge sum for those providing information on whereabouts) criminal/fugitive, shall approach the respective police station.

3. Please visit the respective station. Meet the respective authority at the station and consult with the authority about the process.
4. The person who is in need of information (the applicant) shall follow the authority’s guidelines to get the information about the rewarded criminals.
5. If required, the applicant shall submit a request stating the details of the rewarded criminals as advised along with the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. The authorities will accept the request and process the request internally.
7. The authorities will retrieve the information from the system, or they will search the records manually to ascertain the information.
8. Once the information is gathered, the information sheet will be prepared.
9. Upon sanction or approval from the higher officials, the information sheet will be issued to the applicant then and there.
10. In case, the requested information requires additional time, the applicant gets notification once the information sheet is ready.
11. The applicant shall collect the information sheet from the authorities, or it will be delivered as per applicable norms.
12. The whole process can be completed in the same day or as per the timeline provided by the authorities.
13. This service is offered free of cost.

• A written request (if the request form is available in the police station, then make use of it)
• Applicant’s proof of address (Ration card / Bank pass book / Telephone bill / Aadhaar card)
• Applicant’s proof of identity (Voter ID / Passport / Aadhaar card / Driving licence)
• A wanted or reward notice if available

• Apart from the above documents, the authorities may ask for additional information or documents. Please provide them for processing.

• The information acquired about the rewarded criminal is valid as long as the reward is active or till the criminal is caught.

• Rewards to private persons should not be in the form of medals.
• Don’t forget to take all the originals of the document along with a copy to the police station.
• Incomplete application will be rejected.
• Avoid spelling mistakes while filling the application form.

• The information gathered will be helpful for the applicant to provide the information about the rewarded criminals to the government or government agency to gain the reward.
• The information requested about the rewarded criminal will be helpful in arresting the criminal.

• The names of the rewardee, if so desired, shall be kept secret.
• Rewards may be in the form of cash or any other suitable article or commendation certificate with or without cash in the case of private individuals.
