Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Auto Dealership License, the applicant has to approach their Respective RTO offices link
2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer, or the applicant can download the application form from the following link

   Note: Application should be made separately for individual classes of vehicles: motor cycle, invalid carriage, light motor vehicle, medium passenger motor vehicle, medium goods vehicle, heavy passenger motor vehicle, heavy goods vehicle, or any other motor vehicle of a specified description.

3. The applicant must fill in all necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete forms are not accepted)
4. Make sure that the applicant must attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant must attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
6. The applicant must submit the application form along with the required documents to the concerned officer.
7. The applicant must pay the prescribed fee as per the authority’s request. The fee details are mentioned in the “Fees” section of this Page.
8. All applications are processed within a reasonable time, having regard to the particular circumstances of each application, including the completeness of information and documents submitted to the authority by the applicant.
9. The authority may seek additional information from an applicant if this is necessary to assess the application. The authority does not need to deal further with an application until the applicant has provided this additional information.
10. The authority will check all the submitted documents, and after verification, the officer will give the notification through call or SMS for site inspection.
11. On receipt of an application in respect of a class of vehicle, the registering authority may issue the license if satisfied.
12. This entire process can be completed within 15 - 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Apply Online:

1. To Apply for Auto Dealership License, the application must make the application online via the following link
2. The applicant must click “Online Services” and select “Trade Certificate” from the dropdown menu.
3. Then the applicant must click the “Click to Apply” menu on the right top corner.
4. The applicant has to click “New Applicant” and enter their mobile number and email ID and click “Generate OTP”.
5. After entering OTP, a form will be generated. The applicant has to enter their particular correctly on the application form and click “Save the Application”.
6. Next a list of required documents will be projected on the screen, the applicant has to attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
7. After uploading documents, a payment gateway will be opened the applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested.
8. After successful payment a receipt will be generated, the applicant can download the receipt for future reference.
9. The applicant must pay the prescribed fee as per the authority’s request. The fee details are mentioned in the “Fees” section of this Page.
10. The applicant has to check the status via the following link by clicking on the “status” menu and select “Know Your Application status”.
11. This entire process can be completed within 15 - 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
