1. To apply for an emergency passport or laissez-passer you must personally apply for it at the embassy. Request may be submitted by a family member if the applicant is under police custody, imprisoned or due to medical reasons cannot be physically present at the office. Representatives are required to present authorization letter from the applicant.
2. For children, the request must be made by the parents or either one of them, with consent from the other parent. Consent must be in writing.
3. Submit a completed application form together with all other required documents.

• Completed application
• Passport photos 4 � 5 cm, recent and white background.
• Supporting documents:
  • Invalid passport or
  • Original identity card or
  • Birth certificate from the relevant civil status, issued not later than 3 months from the date of the request, accompanied by a copy of the identity card or
  • Driver's license, the new electronic format;
  • Police report about the lost passport;

Albanian Embassies

A laissez-passer may be issued to an Albanian citizen who has no valid travel document and must return to Albania.
