Apply By Mail

1. To Modifying information in your passport, the applicant has to mail the completed application to National Passport Processing Center link
2. The applicant has to download the application form from the following link
3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
4. Make sure that the applicant has to attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
6. Mail all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer. The mailing address are provided in “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this page.
7. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority. The fee for this procedure mentioned in “Fees” Section of this page.
8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
9. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
10. Once the process gets completed successfully, the applicant gets the passport with the authority's signature through email.
11. The processing time for Routine services is takes up to 7 to 10 weeks. And the processing time for Expedited services is takes 4 to 6 weeks.

• Any person who intends to modify their information in passport is eligible to make this application.

• The processing fee for Routine services is free of cost.
• The processing fee for Expedited services is $60

• If the applicant reports to Modifying information within one year of issue date, the new passport will be valid for 10 years from the date it is issued.
• If the applicant reports to Modifying information after one year of issue date, the new passport will be valid until the expiration of the original, incorrect passport.
