2. The applicant has to download the form from the following link
3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form.
4. Make sure that the applicant has to attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
6. Submit the completed form and the necessary documents to the TTB mailing address.

8. Fee for this procedure is free of cost.
9. Once all the verification process is done by the authority, the applicant receives a notification through a mail.
10. Once the applicant gets the permit, a copy of the application and supporting data along with all records, must be kept readily available for inspection by TTB officers.
11. The applicant has to get the permit by visiting the office.
12. The processing time for this procedure is up to 30 days.

• The entity must be United States’ local government agencies
• Any scientific university or college of learning is eligible
• Any educational institution exempts from income tax under section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code is eligible.
• Any laboratory for use exclusively in scientific research is eligible.
• Any hospital, sanatorium, blood bank, or any pathological laboratory exclusively engaged in making analyses or tests for hospitals or sanatorium’s is eligible.
• Any clinic operated for charity and not for profit is eligible.

• Tax-free alcohol is the substance known as ethyl alcohol or ethanol having a proof of 190 degrees or more when withdrawn from the bonded premises of a distilled spirits plant free of tax, including all subsequent dilutions and mixtures of ethyl alcohol.
