Apply In-Person

  1. The applicant shall visit the district collector office. District Collector or District Magistrate is responsible. link
  2. Collect the application form from the office. Fill in the form with necessary details.
  3. Please make sure you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  4. After filling the form, attach the documents mentioned in the “Required Documents” section below with the completed application form.
  5. Check the application form and then submit it to the concerned authority.
  6. Now pay the required application fee to the concerned authority.
  7. The officer after validating the application form and the documents will provide you with an acknowledgement/receiving slip.
  8. The verification will be done by police and revenue department officers such as Tehsildars, etc
  9. After verification, if the authorities are satisfied with the report then the certificate will be processed.
  10. Once it is processed, and the certificate is ready, the applicant will receive an SMS or call on the registered mobile number to collect it.
  11. The applicant should carry the acknowledgement/receiving slip when going to collect the certificate from the office.



Apply Online - Apply for Freedom Fighter Certificate Online with Images

  1. The applicant shall visit the government website in the below link Link
  2. Click on “Login” button , if already a user. Otherwise, click on “Registration” option and choose “Citizen registration” from the drop down menu.
  3. Fill in the required details and click on “Submit” button.
  4. Sign in to your account by typing the “User ID”, “user password” and Image value.
  5. Click on “New application” under “Application Registration”. Then, Select the department as “Revenue” from the drop down menu. Select the type of service as “Revenue certificate”. Select the service name as “Freedom fighter dependent certificate”
  6. Please make sure you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page. Upload the documents whichever is necessary.
  7. Pay the fees through online payment options.
  8. Finally, submit the details. The confirmation receipt can be downloaded. The confirmation message is also sent through SMS to registered mobile number.
  9. The application will be sent to the concerned officer. The officer will verify the details and approve it.
  10. After approval, the applicant can find it in the website. The certificate can be obtained online.

Apply through Common Service Centre (CSC)

  1. The applicant shall visit the nearby Common Service Centre.
  2. Refer the contact details in the “Office contacts & Locations” section below.
  3. Collect the application form from the centre. Fill in the form with necessary details.
  4. Please make sure you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. After filling the form, attach the documents mentioned in the “Required Documents” section below with the completed application form.
  6. Check the application form and then submit it to the CSC operator.
  7. The CSC operator will type the necessary details, upload the documents and submit it. Also, pay the required fees amount at the centre.
  8. The confirmation receipt will be given to the applicant. The confirmation message is sent through SMS to the registered mobile number.
  9. The application will be sent to the concerned officer. The officer will verify the details and approve it.
  10. After approval, the applicant can find it in the website. The certificate can be obtained at the centre.
  11. The applicant should carry the confirmation receipt, when going to collect the certificate from the centre.



Apply Through CSC

  1. To Apply for Freedom Fighter Certificate, the applicant has to approach respective “CSC” centre link
    • NOTE: The applicant has to select state, district and block name from the drop-down menu, or the applicant has to click on their respective district to find nearby centres.
  2. Please visit the centre and consult with the centre operator for your requirement.
  3. If the operator issues an application form, then collect it and pay the requisite fee. Please complete the application form.
  4. Now, submit the completed application along with the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
  5. The operator will process the application online. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
  6. Applicant has to make necessary payment as centre operator quotes and don’t forget to take the receipt.
  7. This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
  8. ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
  9. The submitted application will be processed by the department. A designated authority will verify the submitted documents and inspect the area of the applicant to clarify the applicant’s details.
  10. Based on the outcome of the above-mentioned steps and other internal processing, the designated issuing authority the qualification will be added.
  11. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS” or applicable norms.

  • Affidavit by the applicant on non-judicial stamp papers worth Rs. 3/- attested by the Executive Magistrate/Notary (Specimen enclosed).
  • Attested photocopy of Tamra-Patra/Pension Payment order issued by the G.O.I. to the freedom fighter.
  • Documentary evidence of place of residence at Chandigarh (Voter Card, Telephone/water/electricity bill)
