Procedure

Apply through meeseva centre

1. Applicant can reach out to the nearest Meeseva center for the application form.

4. Fill the application form and submit the form along with documents and fees to Meeseva officer at the counter.
5. The details will be processed online. Applicant number will be given to you for future reference
6. An SMS alert will be sent to the applicant regarding application submission.
7. Application will be forwarded online to the concerned department.
8. After scrutiny by the designated authority, short fall in the documentation if any will be intimated through SMS along with the date of inspection.
9. Department authorities will verify the documents, Inspect the premises and clarify their queries.
10. The Application along with report will be forwarded to the issuing authority concerned.
11. If the applications is found to be correct in all respect then a Contract Labour License is issued to the applicant.
12. This certificate shall be hand delivered or sent through post as per applicable norms.

Apply In-Person:

1. Applicant shall apply with their respective labour office of the registering officer of the area in which the establishment sought to be registered is located.
2. Applicant must satisfy the criteria as listed in the eligibility section below.

5. Consult with the designated authority. Obtain the application form or write on an A4 sheet as advised. Applicant shall get the information from the respective department website too.

7. Once the check list of information is ready, prepare all the requirements as guided. Complete the application form. Attach the required documents. Please refer our required document section.
8. Submit or post the completed application form along with required documents and prescribed fees as applicable to the designated authority.
9. Submitted application will be verified by the authorities. If all are in place, applicant will be provided with acknowledgement for the submitted application.
10. This application will be processed internally.
11. Applicant gets notification about the process through their registered mobile number.
12. Department authorities will verify the documents, Inspect the premises and clarify their queries.
13. If the application is found to be correct in all respect then a Contract Labour License is issued to the applicant.

Apply online through meeseva - Obtain Contract Labour Licence for Contractor Online with Images

1. Go to the online portal: online portal
2. Please enter login credentials as applicable and click “Sign In” button.
3. If you are a new user, then in the given page please click “New Registration” button at the left part of the page. Complete the page prompt for new registration and click “Submit” button to register.
4. Once login, please select “Labour” under “List of services” on the left part of the screen. List of online services will be provided.
5. Please click “APPLICATION FOR INTEGRATED REGISTRATION OF ESTABLISHMENT UNDER LABOUR LAWS.” Option to get new page.
6. Please select “Yes” or “no” as appropriate for the “Is Your Establishment An Industry” query.
7. An online application will be provided. please fill in all the relevant mandatory details, select required details from drop down list as applicable and complete the prompts completely.
8. Upload required documents as per the prompt.
9. Make payment using the “Show payment” button.
10. Pay necessary fee using payment gateway or by selecting challan to pay over the respective counter.
11. Finally submit the application online using applicable button.
12. A system generated acknowledgement will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
13. An SMS alert will be sent to the applicant regarding application submission.
14. Application will be forwarded online to the concerned department.

16. Department authorities will verify the documents, Inspect the premises and clarify their queries.

Note:

• Make sure to keep the “First-Aid Facilities” in the premises during inspection.
• It is advised to submit additional set of copy of the documents and get counter signed for your safety while applying with government department.

Eligibility

• If the entrepreneur/applicant engages five (5) or more contractual workers in the contractual work are eligible.
• An Individual or a firm shall apply
• Applicant should be a major
• Applicant should not be convicted (at any time during a period of five years immediately preceding the date of application)
  

Fees

Security deposit as advised by authorities for each workman to be employed as contract labour shall be deposited.

Validity

Every licence granted is valid for twelve months from the date it is granted.

Instructions

• The licence is non-transferable.
• The number of workmen employed as contract labour in the establishment shall not on any day, exceed the mentioned numbers as per application.
• The fees paid for the grant of the licence shall be non-refundable.
• The rates of wages payable to the workmen by the contractor shall not be less than the rates prescribed for the schedule of employment under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, where applicable, and where the rates have been fixed by agreement/ settlement or award, not less than the rates fixed.

Need for the Document

• This license is required for the employment of contract labour in certain establishment.
• To every contractor who employs or who employed on any day of the preceding twelve months ten or more workmen then they need to get this license.
• In order to bid for the government work where the labour license is pre requisite, then the firm need to obtain this license.
