Apply In-Person
- The Applicant has to submit an application in Form A to the Business Licence Unit Office.
- Visit the following link for Contact Details:Link
- The Applicant has to take an approval from the Event/Show of interest.
- The Applicant can download the Form from the below Form Link.
- Complete the application form with all details
- On Submission of the document, the application is then processed within 7 working days and the Occasional License is issued.
- The BLU office will contact the applicant to inform the approval of the License, and collect the same.
- The applicant can now pay the license fee at the BLU Office, provide ID and collect their license.
Apply Online
- To register online click on the following Online Link
- Click in the tab “Sign up for Free”.
- It will redirect you to a new page for creating an account.
- The "Create Account" page displays. Complete registration form.
- Complete the registration by filling in mandatory fields which are marked with *
- The applicant must read and agree to the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy before proceeding. After that, check the box indicating that you agree to the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
- Click on “Create My Account”, wherein the applicant will receive a message stating that the registration was successfully submitted and the username will be emailed to the address you provided.
- Now the applicant can login to the account with the “username”.
- To completely activate the account, the applicant must choose and answer three (3) security questions the first time they log in. They will need this information to reset your password or unlock your account if you forget your password or if it becomes locked.
- If the account is not activated within 90 days, it will be deleted and you would have to create a new one.
- Now Login to the account with the “username”.
- The first page will display the information and necessary documents required for the online registration.
- On the bottom, right side of the page click “start” tab.
- This will redirect you to the “Tax Registration”,
- Before registration of the Business License the applicant has to provide a few tax payer details.
- The applicant will have to select the most appropriate options/responses from the options provided for every question.
- The Registration Option and number of steps will be automatically determined based on the previous question.
- Select the Tax Payer Type
- I am an authorised Person registering an Individual (Option 1)
- I am an authorised Person registering a non-Individual entity (Option 2)
- I am an authorised agent or representative of taxable entity (Option 3)
- Click “Continue” Tab
- Do I need to Register Section
- Does the entity operate a business in Bahamas (Option 1)?
- Do you expect the taxable supplies for the next 12 months to be more than (Option 2) $100,000?
- Click “Continue” Tab

- Enter your Tax Payer Registration Details.

- Click “Continue” Tab
- Tax Payer can apply for multiple Business Licenses by clicking the “Add New License” Tab.
- After clicking the tab, enter the details for the Business License.
- Select the Business License you want to apply for.
- Annual / Temporary / Occasional (Options)
- Then Fill in the details of the Business
- Red indicates the mandatory fields

- Upload documents in the below format only with a maximum size of 2mb.

- Click “Attach Files” tab to upload supporting documents (eg. Utility Bills)
- Then click on “Save Change”.
- The applicant can also edit the information entered or click on the “Next” tab to continue.
- Submission section
- Click on the “Show Application Summary” form for review before the submission and click on the “Previous” Tab to make changes in the form.
- Click to tick on the check box “I Agree to the terms and Conditions” and then select the tab “Submit Application”.
- A confirmation page is displayed for the applicant to know that the application has been successfully submitted to the Ministry of Finance Department and Revenue.
- The applicant will also receive an email of the confirmation along with the application number. This number can be used as a reference to get updates on the status of the application from the department.
- Click “Finish” to complete the process and return to the home page.
- Select the Tax Payer Type
- The Applicant will be contacted by the Tax Officer during the application processing for any additional information.
- The Applicant can check the status of the application through the tracker tab on the “Online Administration System”.

FeesEdit
The fee for an Occasional Licence is BS$25.
ValidityEdit
- The validity for Occasional Business License is a period not exceeding seven days.
- An Occasional Licence can be granted for a maximum of four times per year.
