Apply In-Person

  • To apply for International Driver License in Sikkim, the applicant has to approach the RTO office of the area.
  • Information related to the RTO offices and licensing authority can be obtained from the “Office and Location” Section of this page.
  • You will have to submit Application in front of licensing authority.
  • The application shall be made in application form no. 2 or in writing to the RTO within whose jurisdiction the applicant resides, specifying the countries to be visited and the duration of stay etc.
  • Application form no. 2 can be downloaded via following link: form no. 2
  • The applicant should make sure they are eligible for applying for duplicate driver license by reading through the eligibility criteria that has been listed out under the “Eligibility” section of this page.
  • Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down the “Required Document” section of this page.
  • Application forms can be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that should be completed and presented with appropriate fees.
  • Present the completed application forms in one of the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.

  3. Please select the appropriate plan that is suitable for you and click "Next" and follow the process to complete the application.

Apply Online - Sikkim Obtain a International Driver License online with Images

  1. To Obtain an International Driving Licence, the applicant can make the application online via the following link link
  2. The applicant has to click “Drivers/ Learners License” and select the respective state from the drop-down menu.
  3. On the next tab, the applicant has to click “Apply for International Driving Permit (IDP)” and read the instructions and click “Continue”
  4. Next the applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  5. Make sure that the applicant has to upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  6. Review the application and click “Submit”
  7. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
  8. An acknowledgment receipt will be displayed. Please save it for future reference, it contains the application summary and contact details of the person to be contacted.
  9. Next the applicant should book the slot and visit the office on the respective date.
  10. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.



Printing application

  1. You can take printout of online application form with the help of the link: please follow the online portal link
  2. Select “Gujarat” in the drop down menu against “Please select the State from where the service is to be taken”.
  3. In the next window, please click “Download Forms” to select “Print application form” option.
  4. Please enter your application number in the next window and hit ”Submit” follow the next window to get the printout.

Appointment

  1. You can book appointment with RTO using the following link :online appointment link
  2. Please click “Appointment (Slot Booking)” to select “services on driving license” option.
  3. In the new window fill in required details and hit Submit to process your request to book appointment.

  • International Driving Permit will be issued to an applicant who holds a valid Indian Licence and who is a resident of India.
