Apply Online - Obtain Contract Labour Licence for Contractor Online with images

1. To obtain Contract Labour Licence for Contractor the applicant has to use the following link
2. In the given page the applicant has to click “LOGIN” button at the top right corner and select “Investor login”
3. The applicant will reach redirected Investor login page.
4. The applicant has to enter the user name, password, captcha as appropriate and click “LOGIN” button to login.
5. If applicant is a new user then use the “New user Register Now” option and follow the registration page prompts and section to complete the registration process and then login.
6. Once login, applicant will reach dashboard.
7. From the list of services, applicant can select “License and Renewal of License for contractors under provisions of The Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970” by clicking on right icon.
8. Applicant will get online application form. Please fill in all the relevant details as per page prompts
9. And upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
10. Upon submission, the applicant will confirm payment of fees by clicking on the ‘Pay Now’ button
11. Pay necessary fee using payment gateway or by selecting challan to pay over the respective counter.
12. Finally submit the application online using applicable button.
13. A system generated acknowledgement will be provided. The applicant save it for future reference.
14. An SMS alert will be sent to the applicant regarding application submission.
15. Application will be forwarded online to the concerned department.
16. After scrutiny by the designated authority, short fall in the documentation if any will be intimated through SMS along with the date of inspection.
17. Department authorities will verify the documents, Inspect the premises and clarify their queries.
18. The Application along with report will be forwarded to the issuing authority concerned.
19. If the applications are found to be correct, applicant will get notification about the sanction through SMS in their registered mobile number.
20. This certificate shall be hand delivered or sent through post as per applicable norms.
21. This license will be processed in 15 days from the date of receipt of completed application form.

• Make sure to keep the “First-Aid Facilities” in the premises during inspection.
• It is advised to submit additional set of copy of the documents and get counter signed for your safety while applying with government department.

Apply In-Person:

1. To obtain Contract Labour Licence for Contractor, the applicant can approach the respective Labour department link
2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
3. Consult with the designated authority. Obtain the application form or write on an A4 sheet as advised. Applicant shall get the information from the respective department website too.
4. Once the check list of information is ready, prepare all the requirements as guided. Complete the application form. Attach the required documents. The applicant refer our” required document” section.
5. Submit or post the completed application form along with required documents and prescribed fees as applicable to the designated authority.
6. Submitted application will be verified by the authorities. If all are in place, applicant will be provided with acknowledgement for the submitted application.
7. This application will be processed internally.
8. Applicant gets notification about the process through their registered mobile number.
9. Department authorities will verify the documents, Inspect the premises and clarify their queries.
10. If the application is found to be correct in all respect, then a Contract Labour License is issued to the applicant.

Apply Through CSC

1. To Obtain Contract Labour Licence for Contractor, the applicant has to approach respective “CSC” centre link
   • NOTE: The applicant has to select state, district and block name from the drop-down menu, or the applicant has to click on their respective district to find nearby centres.
2. Please visit the centre and consult with the centre operator for your requirement.
3. If the operator issues an application form, then collect it and pay the requisite fee. Please complete the application form.
4. Now, submit the completed application along with the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
5. The operator will process the application online. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
6. Applicant has to make necessary payment as centre operator quotes and don’t forget to take the receipt.
7. This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
8. ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
9. The submitted application will be processed by the department. A designated authority (supply officer) will verify the submitted documents and inspect the area of the applicant to clarify the applicant’s details.
10. Based on the outcome of the above-mentioned steps and other internal processing, the designated issuing authority will decide on the issuance of the information.
11. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS” or applicable norms.

Eligibility

• A contractor executing any contract work by engaging 20 or more contract labours is eligible to obtain a license
• An Individual or a firm shall apply
• Applicant should be a major
• Applicant should not be convicted (at any time during a period of five years immediately preceding the date of application)
  

Fees

• Security deposit @ Rs 100/- per contract labour for which license has been applied is to be deposited in shape of treasure challan.
• Pay fees to Head of Account for deposit of fees through Treasury challan are as hereunder :- “0230 – Labour & Employment. 101- Receipt under Labour Laws –106 – Fees under Contract Labour Act”
  

Validity

Every licence granted is valid for twelve months from the date it is granted.

Instructions

• The licence is non-transferable.
• The number of workmen employed as contract labour in the establishment shall not on any day, exceed the mentioned numbers as per application.
• The fees paid for the grant of the licence shall be non-refundable.
• The rates of wages payable to the workmen by the contractor shall not be less than the rates prescribed for the schedule of employment under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, where applicable, and where the rates have been fixed by agreement/ settlement or award, not less than the rates fixed.
