ProcedureEdit

Apply by Mail:

  1. To Surrendering your Driver License, the applicant has to mail the application to Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency link
  2. The applicant can download the application form from the following
  3. for car and motor bikes link
  4. Bus, coach or lorry licences Link
  5. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  6. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  7. The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
  8. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the DVLA office.
  9. The mailing address are given in “Office Locations and Contacts” section of this page.
  10. The fee for this procedure is free of cost.
  11. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  12. The applicant will receive an reply mail or SMS regarding the acceptance of surrendering their license.
  13. The entire process can be completed within 7 – 10 or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
