Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To renew a Public Service Licence or Permit in Zambia, the applicant will have to contact the Road Transport and Safety Agency of your area, for the main office visit link.
2. Make sure to have all the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
3. An application form will be provided to the applicant at the Road Transport and Safety Agency office.
4. Once understanding the guideline properly, the applicant has to fill-in all the necessary information in the application form given by the road transport department.
5. Submit the application form with necessary attachments to the respective office.
6. Pay the fee as given in the “Fees” section of this page.
7. Collect the renewed license from the agency in a stipulated period of time.

Eligibility

• Applicants:
  • Must be at least 25 years of age.
  • Must be a Zambian citizen.
  • Must be a holder of a valid Zambian driver’s licence endorsed with PSV class.
  • Must have undertaken defensive driving lessons.
  • Must show a proof of having the ability to administer First Aid.

Fees

• The fee payable is ZK279.00.

Validity

• This licence will be valid for the period mentioned in the permit.

• Holder will face legal consequences if anytime it's found that he/she has forged the documents of the motor vehicle.
