Zambia - Obtain a Police Clearence Certificate

Apply In-Person
- To apply for a police clearance in Zambia, the applicant will have to contact the police service of Zambia, for the main office visit link.
- Make sure that you have all the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant should write an application letter explaining why PCC is being requested.
- The application form can be obtained from any nearest police station.
- Fill the application form provided to you after understanding the guidelines properly.
- Upon filling the form the applicant will be redirected to a lab for fingerprints.
- The applicant must submit a set of his/her fingerprint impressions.
- Submit the completed application forms to the Central Investigation office at Police Service Headquarters for approval.
- The Fingerprints then need to be sent to Zambia Police Headquarters in Lusaka at the Fingerprints Department where the screening is done.
- Upon screening, the fingerprints are then sent to the Criminal Records Office (CRO) within Headquarters for name search.
- Pay the fee as per given in the “Fees” section of this page.
- Upon the satisfaction of the authorities, a provisional certificate will be accessible.
- Payment is non-refundable once the application is processed.
- The certificate will be posted to the forwarding address as indicated by the applicants in the application in 15-20 days.

- Recent passport size photographs borderless with white background.
- Fully completed application form (personal particular) filled in Block letters.
- A letter stating that the applicant is authorizing our organization on his/her behalf.
- A valid document showing applicant’s work permit and dependent pass.
- Copy of Zambia Identity card (if any).
- A copy of your passport, driving license or any similar document used for Identification purposes.
- Obtained set of applicant’s fingerprints.
- A detailed covering letter stating the period of stay in Zambia.
- Copy of all passport pages (old and current passport),with copies of the first three of the data pages of his/her passport as well as the pages containing Zambia visa ,entry and departure Stamps.
- Certified copies of visa/permits showing proof of legal residence in Zambia(if applicant is non-Zambian).
- Documentary proof which states the period of stay in Zambia.
- All pages of VISA are required with first entry and last exit date STAMP.

- It is issued to any individual who resides more than 6 months in Zambia.

- Zambians within Zambia: K168.00.
- For Zambians outside Zambia: K795.00.
- Non Zambians outside the country: K1194.00.

Need for the DocumentEdit
- This certificate certifies that the applicant has never partaken in any criminal activity that led to the involvement of the Zambian police force.
