Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for a license (permit) to import wild animals and wild meat in Zambia, the applicant will have to contact the Zambia Wildlife Authority, for the main office visit link.
2. Make sure that you have all the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
3. An application form will be provided to the applicant upon visiting the department of national parks and wildlife office.
4. Once understanding the guideline properly, the applicant has to fill-in all the necessary information in the application form.
5. Submit the application form with necessary attachments to the office.
6. Pay the fee as per given in the “Fees” section of this page.
7. Approved application will be submitted directly to the Ministry of Tourism & Arts in Lusaka.
8. After the completion and verification of all the documents, your permit will be available.
9. The applicant gets the license(permit) in a stipulated period of time.

• A statement of purpose of the desired license.
• Details of infrastructure requirements.
• Applicant's environmental management plan conforms to specifications and practices established by national standards.

Fees

• Application Fee: Handling Fee ZMK 500,040.
• License Fee: ZMK 500,040 - ZMK 5,000,040 per consignment.

Validity

• This licence will be valid for the period specified in the permit.
