Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for a Skill Mining Licence or Permit in Zambia, the applicant will have to visit the department of Ministry of Higher Education. Please tap on the following link to view contact details link.
2. Make sure to have all the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
3. An application form will be provided to the applicant upon visiting the Ministry of Higher Education.
4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form.
5. Submit the application form with necessary attachments to the office.
6. Pay the fee as per the authority’s suggestion.
7. Upon the satisfaction of the authorities, the applicant will be issued a provisional certificate.
8. Collect the permit from the respective office in a stipulated period of time.

Eligibility

• Applicants shouldn’t be any of the following:
• Is not a citizen of Zambia.
• Is a declared insolvent or bankrupt.
• Is declared to be of unsound mind.
• Has been convicted of an offence involving fraud or dishonesty.
• Has been convicted of an offence under any written law and sentenced to a term of imprisonment of not less than six months, without the option of a fine.
• Has been dismissed for gross mismanagement.
