Apply In-Person:
- To apply for an export permit of minerals for a business organization in Zambia, the applicant will have to contact the Mines and Minerals department office of your area. Please tap on the following link to view contact details link.
- Make sure to have all the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- Fill the application form provided in the Mines and Minerals department after understanding guidelines properly.
- Submit the application with necessary attachments to the Mines and Minerals department office.
- Approved application will be submitted directly to the Ministry of Mines and Minerals in Lusaka.
- Pay the fee as given in the “Fees” section of this page.
- The application will be duplicated for local and central offices.
- Upon the verification of all required documents, a provisional permit will be accessible.
- Collect the permit in around 14-15 days, or wait for it to arrive via post on the provided postal address in a stipulated period of time.

- A statement of the period for which the licence is sought.
- Invoice(s) from the seller of the mineral.
- Mineral Analysis Certificate and Evaluation Report obtainable from the Director of Geological Survey Department
- Police Clearance from the town where the mine is situated.
- Completed application forms for an export permit obtainable from the Director of Mines.
- Mineral Royalty clearance from ZRA

- Application Fees : ZK 360,000.
- License Fees : Area Charges: Pay as per authority’s request.
