Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for a timber inspection for export in Zambia, the applicant will have to contact the Ministry of Lands, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection office of Zambia. Please tap on the following link to view contact details link.
2. Make sure to have all the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
3. An application form will be provided to the applicant upon visiting the Ministry of Lands, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection office.
4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form.
5. Submit the application form with necessary attachments to the office.
6. Pay the fee as given in the “Fees” section of this page.
7. After the completion and verification of all the required documents, the inspection will be held.
8. The applicant will get an inspection report upon the completion of the inspection.

Eligibility

• The applicant must be a bona fide national of the country.
• All natural persons or legal entities are approved to conduct export of timber from Zambia.

Fees

• Application & license fee: Pay as per the authority’s request.

Validity

• The report will be valid until the applicant gets an export license.

• TPIN No.
• PACRA Registration No.
• Physical address
• Postal Address
• Notification address
• Name and location of production area.
• Quantity of timber.
• Name of country where timber will be exported.

Need for the Document

• An inspection report for timber export is required to get a timber export license.
