Zambia - Apply Accreditation for Insolvency Practitioners

Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for Accreditation for Insolvency Practitioners in Zambia, the applicant will have to contact the Patents and Companies Registration Agency (PACRA). Please tap on the following link to view contact details link.
  2. Make sure to have all the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  3. An application form will be provided to the applicant upon visiting the PACRA office. Find the form here Link.
  4. Once understanding the guideline properly, the applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form.
  5. Submit the application form with necessary attachments to the office.
  6. Pay the fee as given in the “Fees” section of this page.
  7. The Registrar will register the Accreditation for Insolvency and issue a certificate of registration.
  8. The applicant will be registered as an accredited insolvency practitioner in around 14 days.

  • Certified copies of professional qualifications.
  • Certified copies of current practising certificates from the respective professional bodies.
  • Certified copy of the National Registration Office.
  • Certificate copy of the Certificate of Admission as an Accountant the respective professional bodies.
  • NRC/Passport/Driver’s License
  • Payment receipt

EligibilityEdit

  • A person who wishes to practice as an insolvency practitioner can apply for accreditation as an insolvency practitioner.
  • A company or body corporate is not qualified to be appointed or accredited as an insolvency practitioner.
  • The applicant should be a resident of Zambia.



FeesEdit

  • Application Fee: K 20.
  • License Fee: K1000.



ValidityEdit

  • Accreditation as an insolvency practitioner is valid for a period of one year from the date of accreditation and shall be subject to renewal.
