Procedure

Apply In-Person (Real Estate Agent):

1. To apply for a Mortgage Broker License (Real Estate License), the applicant can approach the Yukon Government. Here is the contact Link
2. The applicant will need to fill out an application form. Click on the following link to the form Link
3. The applicant will need to fill out the application form with all the relevant details.
4. The applicant will need to attach copies of documents as mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant will have to make a fee payment. Find further information under the “Fees” section of this page.
6. The applicant will need to submit the completed application form to their agency and the agency will submit the form along with the agency application.
7. The application will be processed within 10 days from the submission of the application.

Eligibility

• The applicant must be 19 years of age or above.
• The applicant must legally be allowed to work in Canada.
• The applicant will work for a real estate agency.
• The applicant must have held a real estate salesperson license for at least a year.

Fees

• The applicant will need to pay a fee of 25$ to do business within a Yukon municipality
• The applicant will need to pay a fee of $110 to do business outside of a Yukon municipality
• If the applicant wished to do business in both, they need to pay a fee of $135.

Validity

• The license needs to be renewed every year.
• The license expires on March 31st every year.
