Apply In Person

1. To Apply for a Retail License, the applicant has to approach the U.S. Small Business Administration link
2. Find a suitable location for your retail business that complies with zoning regulations and is suitable for the type of retail activities you plan to conduct.
3. Ensure that the space is properly zoned for retail use and meets any specific requirements related to the type of products you intend to sell.
4. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
5. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
6. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
7. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
8. Submit the application form and the documents to the authorized officer.
9. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
10. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
11. Then the application will be processed further.
12. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
13. The officer may conduct inspections or background checks as part of the evaluation process.
14. If your application meets all the requirements and passes the review, you will receive the retail license.
15. This entire process can be completed within 15 - 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
