Apply In-Person:

  1. To Apply for a Martial Arts Instructor License, the applicant has to approach the respective Martial Arts School.
  2. Obtain a high level of proficiency in the chosen martial arts through training and practice. The applicant may need several years of experience to become an instructor.
  3. Decide on the specific martial art or discipline the applicant wants to teach, such as karate, Taekwondo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, or another style.
  4. Achieve a black belt or instructor rank in your chosen martial arts, if applicable. Different martial arts organizations have their ranking systems, and some may require instructor certification.
  5. Obtain certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and first aid. Many martial arts schools require their instructors to have these certifications to ensure the safety of their students.
  6. Some martial arts schools and organizations may require instructors to undergo a background check to ensure the safety of their students.

  14. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  15. All applications are processed within a reasonable time, having regard to the particular circumstances of each application, including the completeness of information and documents submitted to the authority by the applicant.
  16. The authority may seek additional information from an applicant if this is necessary to assess the application. The authority does not need to deal further with an application until the applicant has provided this additional information.
  17. Once the process is completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
  18. The applicant will get the technician license through the mail.
  19. This entire process can be completed within 30 - 40 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
