Apply In Person

  1. To Apply for Adoption Reversal, the applicant has to approach the United States Court link
    NOTE: Search by address, city, state, or ZIP Code and click the “Location” button.
  2. The applicant has to get write a letter and meet the respective lawyer.
  3. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  4. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  5. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the nearest U.S. court.
  6. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
  7. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  8. Once the verification process is completed, the applicant will get the certificate through mail.
  9. The applicant has to follow the further regulation process with the guidance of a lawyer.
  10. This entire process can be completed within 30 – 40 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • If the child cannot make a bond with her adoptive parents, then she can apply for the reversal. When a party gives consent for the adoption reversal, the petition has to be cleared to be finalized. Under a few circumstances, the given consent for adoption can be revoked.
