Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To report issues related to street light, applicant has to approach the concerned officer in the Kolkata Municipal Corporation of their area.

3. Applicant has to write a letter to the officer regarding the street light outage in their street / area.
4. Include the details about the location of street light, type of issue and pole number. Also provide informant details like name, valid mobile number and Email in the letter along with the complaint description.
5. Submit the letter to the officer with necessary identity proof and supporting documents.
6. Make sure you have all the necessary documents mentioned in the “Required documents” section below.
7. Now the authorities will verify the complaint received and take necessary steps to solve the issue.
8. Authorities will assign the electrician to repair the outage problem in the respective area / street from where the complaint is received.

2. Now complete the registration form with details like basic info and complaint info.
3. Fill all the mandatory details and click “Save” tab.
4. Now complaint reference number will be displayed in the screen and also you will receive SMS to the registered mobile number.

Apply through Centres:

1. To apply through centres, the applicant has to approach the respective “CSC” centre in their area. Refer the following link for location: CSC Locator link
   • NOTE: The applicant has to select the state, district and block name from the drop-down menu, or the applicant has to click on their respective district to find nearby centres.
2. Please visit the centre and consult with the centre operator for your requirement.
3. If the operator issues an application form, then collect it and pay the requisite fee. Please complete the application form.
4. Now, submit the completed application along with the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
5. The operator will process the application online. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
6. Applicant has to make necessary payment as centre operator quotes and don’t forget to take the receipt.
7. This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
