Apply In-Person:

  1. Approach Single desk Portal of Dept. of Industries for Grant or Renewal of Drug Manufacturing License
  2. Refer to the “Office Locations & Contacts” section in this procedure to see the respective address and contact details.
  3. DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE LICENSING AUTHORITY ,DRUGS CONTROL ADMINISTRATION BY THE APPLICANT FOR GRANT/ RENEWAL OF LICENCES IN FORM-25, 28, 32 AND 36. You can procure the application form from the respective address mentioned above.
  4. Fill the form and attach required documents with it.
  5. Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down the “Required Document” section of this page.
  6. Submit the application form to the Drug Inspector along with proper fees.
  7. The Drug Inspector who verifies the details of the application.
  8. The Drug Inspector forwards the application to Assistant Director with remarks.
  9. The Assistant Director verifies the details of the online application and forwards the application to Deputy Director for approval.
  10. The Deputy Director verifies the application and forwards the application to Joint Director with remarks.
  11. The Joint Director verifies the application and forwards the application to Director for Final Approval.
  12. The Director scrutinizes the application and approves the list of products to be retained in the Licenses.
  13. The applicant can then collect the licence from the Single desk Portal of Dept. of Industries.

Apply Online:

  1. To apply for the renewal of licence navigate to the link Link
  2. If you are a new user, click on "New User" enter required details and click on submit.
  3. Login using your credentials & click “Apply for Renew License”.
  4. Fill up the application. Application form contains prescribed attachments shall be submitted/ uploaded online in PDF format.
  5. A system generated acknowledgement will be send to the applicant after final submission of application.
  6. The system will automatically forward it the competent authority once the application is received.
  7. The competent authority will forward it to the Senior Inspector/ Inspector of Drug Control.
  8. Senior Inspector/ Inspector of Drug Control will verify the form and conduct necessary inspection of the unit and submit its report to the competent authority.
  9. Thereafter, competent authority shall communicate its decision (approved or rejection of request along with comments) to the applicant within prescribed time limit.
  10. Take the printout of the approval.
  11. The competent authority may ask some additional information from the applicant if required.
  12. The applicant can track his application through online till the competent authority does not communicate its decision to the applicant.
  13. At each stage of the process of application, an email/SMS alert will be sent to the applicant



Apply through Centres:

  1. To apply through centres, the applicant has to approach the respective “CSC” centre in their area. Refer the following link for location: CSC Locator link
    • NOTE: The applicant has to select the state, district and block name from the drop-down menu, or the applicant has to click on their respective district to find nearby centres.
  2. Please visit the centre and consult with the centre operator for your requirement.
  3. If the operator issues an application form, then collect it and pay the requisite fee. Please complete the application form.
  4. Now, submit the completed application along with the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
  5. The operator will process the application online. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
  6. Applicant has to make necessary payment as centre operator quotes and don’t forget to take the receipt.
  7. This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
  8. ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
  9. The submitted application will be processed by the department. A designated authority will verify the submitted documents and inspect the area of the applicant to clarify the applicant’s details.
  10. Based on the outcome of the above-mentioned steps and other internal processing, the designated issuing authority will issue the license.
  11. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS” or applicable norms.

Required DocumentsEdit

  • Statutory form – 19 (one for each license).
  • S.B.H. Challan of required value for each license (for each form) for the required amount under the Head of Account 0210-Medical and Public Health, 04-Public Health, 104-Fees, Fines etc. / net banking.
  • Declaration by the proprietor / Partner / Director / Competent Persons / Regd. Pharmacist
  • Affidavit by R.P / C.P on required stamp paper duly notarized.
  • Attested copy of Registered Pharmacist certificate (renewal up to date) affixed with latest original photograph and signature of the candidate.
  • Original drug licence.
  • Copy of list of Directors downloaded from ROC website signed by Company Secretary / Managing Director (In case of company).
  • In case of company an Affidavit under Section 34 of Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 on Rs.20/- stamp paper duly notarized along with copy of its board resolution to this effect signed by company Secretary or Managing Director or Majority of the Directors of the company.

  • After Agreeing conditions, click Submit button to complete process at your end.
  • For Renewal of Registration Certificate Appearance in Council is not necessary. After uploading necessary documents, Pharmacy Council will intimate you by email and SMS, after verification & approval by Registrar of Council. You can then download Renewal Certificate from your given email id
  • Council is not liable for losses caused by any unauthorized use of your account. Keep your Account Password secured.
