To bid for a government contract Individual/establishment has to register themselves as an approved contractor. The contractors classified under different class ( Class-I/Class-II etc) are eligible to bid for different levels of government contracts.

Apply In-Person:

  1. Applicant shall apply with the chief engineer of the respective PWD (Public works department) Divisional office.
  2. Make sure that you are eligible for applying.
  3. Go to the respective office.

  5. Consult with the designated authority. Obtain the application form or write on an A4 sheet as advised.
  6. Submit the completed application form along with required documents.
  7. Submitted application will be verified by the authorities. If all are in place, applicant will be provided with acknowledgement for the submitted application.
  8. Please pay the required fees/charges as appropriate and get the receipt from the department.
  9. This application will be processed internally.
  10. Once the applicant is found eligible, License will be granted as per applicable norms.
  11. License will be delivered to the address mentioned while applying or it will be delivered as per notification.


Apply Online - Register as Contractor Online with Images

  1. Please login into the official website Online protal of West Bengal Government.
  2. Registered user shall enter their username, password and captcha as per prompt to login by hitting “Login” tab. New user shall use the “citizen registration” option to register by filling the registration details as per prompt and then login.
  3. A new screen will be provided. Please select “Apply to services” menu and choose “New Contractor’s License Service” sub option to reach next screen.
  4. In the next window, User shall go through the information provided and hit “Apply” tab.
  5. A new screen will be provided. Please complete the page prompt with details for respective sessions and hit “Save & Next” tab.
  6. In continuation of the above steps, user will has to complete the prompts as appropriate and hit “Save & Next” tab
  7. In the next screen user shall go through the details and hit “Attach supporting document” tab.
  8. User shall choose the file as appropriate to upload. Once upload is complete, hit “Save & Next” tab
  9. Resulting screen provides Application details. Please hit “Submit” tab here to submit application online.
  10. Once all the above steps are completed, user will get acknowledgement for the submission of online application form . Please keep it safe for future reference by using “Print” tab to print it.
  11. Submitted application will be verified by the authorities. If all are in place, applicant will be provided with acknowledgement for the submitted application.
  12. Please pay the required fees/charges as appropriate and get the receipt from the department.
  13. This application will be processed internally.
  14. Once the applicant is found eligible, License will be granted as per applicable norms.
  15. License will be delivered to the address mentioned while applying or it will be delivered as per notification.


Download certificate:

  1. Please login into the official website Portal link of West Bengal Government.
  2. Click on approved application in the home page.
  3. Select the service name from the list of approved applications.
  4. Click on your specific application by providing your acknowledgement number. You could download your certificate from the next page.


Note:
  • Applicant will be asked to meet the concerned authority for interview.
  • Department authority may conduct inspection of the workshop or the facility of the applicant
  • It is advised to submit additional set of copy of the documents and get counter signed for your safety while applying with government department.



Apply through Centres:

  1. To apply through centres, the applicant has to approach the respective “CSC” centre in their area. Refer the following link for location: CSC Locator link
    • NOTE: The applicant has to select the state, district and block name from the drop-down menu, or the applicant has to click on their respective district to find nearby centres.
  2. Please visit the centre and consult with the centre operator for your requirement.
  3. If the operator issues an application form, then collect it and pay the requisite fee. Please complete the application form.
  4. Now, submit the completed application along with the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
  5. The operator will process the application online. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
  6. Applicant has to make necessary payment as centre operator quotes and don’t forget to take the receipt.
  7. This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
  8. ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
  9. The submitted application will be processed by the department. A designated authority will verify the submitted documents and inspect the area of the applicant to clarify the applicant’s details.
  10. Based on the outcome of the above-mentioned steps and other internal processing, the designated issuing authority will issue the certificate.
  11. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS” or applicable norms.

    • Memorandum of Association & Article of Association
    • Power of Attorney
  • Aadhaar card
