Apply In-Person:

  1. To register or to get a License for Organic products you can approach the Commissioner of Food Safety / Officer-In-Charge for Food Safety.

  3. You can download the application Form-B from the following link: Form B.
  4. Please make sure you are eligible to make the application by going through the eligibility criteria provided under the “Eligibility” section of this page.
  5. First download the Form-B from the link and fill all the required informations and you need to submit the form to the Commissioner Food safety department. Contact is mentioned above.
  6. Please complete the application form and make sure you have all the documents that are listed under “Required Documents” section of this page.
  7. Pay the appropriate fees and submit the form to the Commissioner of Food and Safety Department.
  8. The authorities may visit the facility and make sure the quality and standards are maintained according to standards.
  9. It may take 7 to 30days for processing of the application.

  11. Once the application is accepted and if the authorities are satisfied with the documents provided and standards maintained the department will issue the license



Apply Online:

  1. To Obtain FSSAI License for Organic Products through online, you can use the FOSCOS website. Please click the following link : Foscos Website
  2. Click the “Login-Businesses” tab and Under User sign-in Box enter your Application Ref. No./License No./Certificate No. and Click on the “Proceed” button to login.
  3. If you are a new user, then Click on the "Do you want to apply for New License/Registration" and click on the "Apply for License/Registration" tab in the new page.
  4. Next select the state from the dropdown list box and read the Note.
  5. Next select the type of Business, Now Select the annual turnover of your business. After that Click on the “Proceed” tab.
  6. On the next page, Click on the “Click here to apply State License for all Businesses”.
  7. Next Form-B page will be displayed, fill all the required informations under premises details section and Click on the “Save & Next” tab.
  8. On the Production selection page, fill all the details for DGFT Authentication and Click on the “Proceed with DGFT validation” to authenticate the details.
  9. Next Click on the “Save” to save the authenticated details. After Successfully Proceeding with DGFT validation, Click on the “Save & Next”.
  10. Next fill all the Communication details and Click on the “Save & Next”.
  11. Under required documents section upload all the relevant documents and Click on the “Save & Next”.
  12. Next pay the fees and submit the application.
  13. After Successful Completing the payment, a receipt will be generated with a 17-digit reference number make a print of it and keep it safe for future reference.
  14. You can track the application through the Home page.
  15. This application will be processed by them and they will notify you through your e-mail or by SMS.



Apply through Centres:

  1. To apply through centres, the applicant has to approach the respective “CSC” centre in their area. Refer the following link for location: CSC Locator link
    • NOTE: The applicant has to select the state, district and block name from the drop-down menu, or the applicant has to click on their respective district to find nearby centres.
  2. Please visit the centre and consult with the centre operator for your requirement.
  3. If the operator issues an application form, then collect it and pay the requisite fee. Please complete the application form.
  4. Now, submit the completed application along with the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
  5. The operator will process the application online. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
  6. Applicant has to make necessary payment as centre operator quotes and don’t forget to take the receipt.
  7. This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
  8. ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
  9. The submitted application will be processed by the department. A designated authority will verify the submitted documents and inspect the area of the applicant to clarify the applicant’s details.
  10. Based on the outcome of the above-mentioned steps and other internal processing, the designated issuing authority will issue the license.
  11. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS” or applicable norms.
