ProcedureEdit

  • The “West Bengal Teacher Eligibility Test (WB TET)” is conducted by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) to determine the eligibility of candidates as teachers in government or private schools.
  • There will be an official notification release by the respective board for WB TET. On the issue of notification, the deserving candidates shall apply to register for the WB TET.


Apply Online

  1. The candidate shall use the following link to reach the respective portal to apply online Link
  2. In the given page, please scroll down and click on the “Click here Online Application for TET…” (The option may change as per the year for which the test is conducted) option provided to reach the “Important Dates” page.
  3. Here, please click on the “Register Yourself” button under “New to registration” on the right part of the screen to reach the “Register” page.
  4. Here, please enter the prompted details as appropriate. Please enter a valid mobile number and an email ID at the given space as appropriate. Please click on the “Send OTP” button.
  5. An “OTP” will be sent to the user’s mobile number. Please enter the received “OTP” at the given space next to “OTP” and then click on the “Verify OTP” button to get a “Welcome” screen with a message “Thank you for registration. Please…” message.
  6. The User Id and password for login will be sent to the applicants Email Id. Please click on the “here” hyperlink in the “Click here to login” to reach the “Login” page.
  7. Please enter the User Id and password as appropriate and click on the “Login’ button to reach the dashboard.
  8. Here, please complete the page prompts for the sections including “Registration Details”, “Personal Details”, “Communication Details”, “Academic Details” and “Examination Appearance” one by one and click the “Next” button at the bottom of the page to reach the next section.
  9. Once the applicant reaches “Photo & Signature upload” section, please upload the photograph and signature as appropriate and click on the “Save & Preview” button to get the preview of the online application form.
  10. Please click on the “Download application form” button to download the application form and keep it safe for future reference. Now please click on the “Continue for payment” button at the bottom to reach the “Exam fee information” page.
  11. Here, please click on the checkbox for the declaration and then click on the “Pay Now” button to reach the payment gateway page.
  12. Please process the payment gateway page as per the online payment option as applicable to complete the submission of application. A new page with “Your payment has been received successfully. Click on the “Print Application Form” button below to obtain the application for printing” message will be provide.
  13. Please click on the “Print Application Form” at the bottom to print the application form and keep it safe for future reference.
  14. This application will be processed by the respective department. Once the department approves the application, the applicant will get intimation and the admit card will be provided as per applicable norms.

EligibilityEdit

  • The candidate should be the citizen of India.
  • The age limit for the candidates is 18 Years to 40 Years.
  • For those who belong to SC, ST, and OBC, age relaxation in the upper age limit is 5 Years.
  • Candidates should be class 12 passed or a graduate from a recognized university with a minimum of 45 per cent marks.
  • Candidates should have obtained a Diploma in Education or Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) or completed any other prescribed teacher training programme/course.



FeesEdit

  • The applicant shall make payment of fee as appropriate prescribed by the respective exam bodies.

  • The approved application is valid for the period (year) for which the examination is notified.
