Procedure

Apply by Mail

1. To Apply for an Amended Federal Firearms License, the application is available in the following Link
2. The applicant has to fill-in all the details in the application form.
3. Applicant should make sure to carry all the documents that are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page (Both photocopies and originals).
4. Submit the completed form and the document to the mailing address.
5. Mailing address is mentioned in “Office Locations & Contacts” of this page.
6. If the applicant needs any information about the fee, please contact the office.
7. The business or activity will comply with the requirements of State and local legislation applicable to the conduct of business or activity within 30 days of the application being accepted.
8. Contact Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for more instructions.
9. A completed copy of this application has been sent or given to the Chief Law Enforcement Officer (CLEO) of the locality in which the premises specified in item 13 of this form are located.

Eligibility

• Any licensed dealer or pawnbroker sells.
• Individual or a firm to engage in the manufacturing or importation of weapons and ammunition, as well as the interstate and intrastate sale of firearms.
• Collectors of Curios and Relics (Type 03 FFL) licensees are prohibited from buying or selling curios and relics under this licence.

Processing Time

• The business or activity will comply with the requirements of State and local legislation applicable to the conduct of business or activity within 30 days of the application being accepted.

Need for the Document

The aim of this application is to require a licensee who moves the licensed premises to a new site during the term of an existing licence to certify that the firearms business or activity will be conducted in compliance with State and local law at the new location.
