Virgin Islands(U.S) - Obtain a Parking Permit for Persons with Disabilities

ProcedureEdit

  1. Purchase an Application/Medical form ($2.00) from the BMV.
  2. Return the Application/Medical form to the BMV signed and stamped or sealed by a Certified Physician. The Physician will qualify the applicant as a physically challenged person, temporarily or permanently.
  3. Upon qualification, a Disabled Parking Permit will be issued to the applicant ($10.00 for Temporary or $50.00 for Permanent). The Permit must be displayed inside the front windshield directly in front of the driver when vehicle is parked in the specified restricted parking area.

Disabled Parking Permit:

  • Temporary: $10.00
  • Permanent: $50.00



ValidityEdit

Temporary Permits are valid for up to one year.

Permanent Permits are valid up to 5 years.

The Disabled Parking Permit is for the sole purpose of the disabled person conducting business or for pick-up/drop off of said person. The Physically challenged person must be in the vehicle when the vehicle is parked or dropping off in order for permit to be valid. All police courtesies shall be extended to vehicles displaying this permit as long as they are not in violation of the law.
