ProcedureEdit

  1. An application must be completed and submitted along with all other required documents to the Immigration Departments front desk.
  2. The staff will determine if the applicant is obtaining a visa for work purposes or for other reasons.
  3. If the application is for work purposes, the "Clearance" Notice and required documents are received from Labour Department and logged.
  4. Submitted documents are forwarded to the Processing Unit which will conduct checks on the overseas Hire and sent to the Chief Immigration Officer for review and approval.
  5. Once the application is APPROVED, it is forwarded to the Administration Unit for the "Clearance" letter to be produced and stamped. If NOT APPROVED, the applicant will be informed of the result and will be advised to make the relevant changes and re-apply.
  6. The applicant's employer must collect the "Clearance" letter and Medical Form and forward it to the overseas Hire.
  7. When the Hire arrives, they will have to present the "Clearance Letter and completed Medical Forms to the Immigration Officer, at which time they are granted a two (2) week stay.
  8. The applicant must then submit the completed Entry Permit Form(s) and required documents to the Labour Department.
  9. The form is verified to ensure completeness and accuracy. If NOT completed, the applicant must make the necessary amendments and resubmit the application. When completed, fees are collected and the applicant is provided with a receipt of the transaction.
  10. The Entry Permit is created and provided to the applicant. Their passport is stamped for a one year stay in the Territory.

Required DocumentsEdit

For applicants wishing to engage in gainful occupation, complete the application form and submit it along with these following documents:-

  • Two (2) passport sized photographs with signature on reverse of prints of applicant and dependent under 18 years;
  • Police Certificate;
  • Medical Certificate dated not earlier than 30 days before application;
  • Written reference from previous employer;
  • Copies of any certificates of examination referred to in this application;
  • Letter from prospective employer with copies of newspaper advertisement with replies thereto and results of interview, if any;
  • Immigration Bond


For applicants not wishing to engage in gainful occupation, complete all questions in the application form except question 21 and submit it along with these following documents:

  • Two (2) passport sized photographs with signature on reverse of prints of applicant and dependents under 18 years;
  • Police Certificate;
  • Medical Certificate dated not earlier than 30 days before application;
  • Two (2) testimonials of good character;
  • Immigration Bond;
