ProcedureEdit

  1. Bring your dog to the licensing office and fill out an application form. (Customer must walk with clinical card for animal.)
  2. Pay the registration fee of $10.
  3. Once your license is processed and approved, a dog license/registration will be issued to you.

EligibilityEdit

Dogs older than 3 months and visiting dogs remaining in the territory longer than 21 days are required to register.



FeesEdit

Registration Fee: $10



ValidityEdit

Registration is on an annual basis. Renew your dog's registration no later than one month after each anniversary of the date on which the dog was registered.

Following is a procedure on how you can register/obtain a dog license in British Virgin Islands.

Things that a dog owner must know:

  • Your dog should wear a collar with registration disc at all times.
  • Your dog must be properly confined on premises.
  • When outside of premises, your dog should be kept on a leash.
  • You must register your dog once a year no later than one month after each anniversary of the date on which the dog was registered.
  • Dog owners are liable in damages for injury caused to any person, livestock, or poultry by inflicted by their dog.
  • Penalties for not exercising proper control include fines ($250), 6 months imprisonment of owner and/or euthanasia of animal.
