Procedure

You are eighteen years old and up. You were born in Venezuela. You can apply for your Identity Document (C’dula de Identidad) by following:

1. Prepare the requirements:
   • Your original and certified copy of the Birth Certificate that is inserted in the Civil Registry
   • The birth certificate must contain the data described in art.81 of the Organic Law of Civil Registry (LORC) but if it is issued before the LORC enters into force (15-Mar-2010), it may get not enough the required content. In this case, you must submit the additional documents:
     • The certified copy of birth certificate accompanied by the adding content.
     • The certified copy of birth certificate in whose content the authorization of the National Office of Civil Registry is reflected.
2. Visit a suitable SAIME offices

Present the required documents. Follow all of officer’s guiding to apply for your Identity documents.
