Procedure

1. Electricity bill payment for the electricity consumed by a consumer shall be paid to the respective state electricity board (department).
   
2. “Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited” (UPCL) is the electricity regulation board operating within the state of Uttarakhand.
   
3. Electricity bill shall be paid through
   
   1. online by UPCL portal
      
   2. Electricity Business/Billing Centre.
      
   3. UPCL Consumer Mobile Self Service
      
   4. Pay through BillAvenue Bill Collection Agent (BBPS system)
      
      

Tariff:

• There is different amount charged for residential and commercial users. The rate of per unit charge varies with state to state and as per the slab decided by the respective electricity board.

Through Electricity Business/Billing Centre

1. Consumers shall pay their electricity bill at the UPCL “Electricity Business/Billing Centre” applicable for the service area
   
2. Go to the respective center and pay your bill amount along with the bill to make payment.
   
3. The counter staff will issue you the receipt for the payment made

Through online by UPCL portal

1. In order to pay online, please use the following link: online portal link
   
2. In the given page, please enter Service number / Account number followed by verification details provided in the image at appropriate box. Enter submit to reach next page
   
3. The new page will provide bill summary with due amount. Please hit “Pay your bill online” button to get prompt for the mobile number and email id. Please enter the appropriate details and scroll down to the end of the page.
   
4. user shall use payment gateway or UPI payment option to make online payment. Once the applicable option is selected, user has to click, “pay now” to reach the payment page
   
5. This page allows user to select appropriate payment gateway option (credit / debit /net banking). After selecting applicable option as per selection, proceed with screen prompts to progress further to pay the bill online.
   
6. Once the payment is made successful, user will get bill payment receipt for the payment made.
7. Please save it or print it for future reference.
   
   

UPCL Consumer Mobile Self Service

1. This app can be downloaded using the Google play store. Link for App: Play store link
   
2. Once the app is installed, user has to login with his account details of UPCL electricity connection to access the options.
   
3. Once logged in, user will get the screen with options to choose, please select “Pay bill” option to pay.
   
4. Once the next screen reached, please provide the prompted details and proceed for making payment using appropriate option.
   
5. Once the payment gateway page is reached, user can select respective payment gateway option to make the payment.
   
6. Please fill in the applicable details and follow the screen prompts to progress for completing the online payment process.
   
7. Once the payment is made, an acknowledgement for the payment received will be prompted. User can save / print it for future reference

Through BillAvenue Bill Collection Agent (BBPS system)

A BillAvenue BBPS Collection agent can easily fetch bills from “UPCL” bill pay BBPS system and collect payment for UPCL power bills from the respective consumers

1. Users shall use the private app’s to make payment of electricity bill. Please make sure with the respective department officials to confirm about these service providers to make payment.

• The individual should be a resident of the state.
  
• Consumers are eligible to pay the electricity bill.
  
• Every applicant has to have a meter reading to calculate consumption

Fees

• Electricity bills are generated with the slab rates applicable for the units consumed as per the state regulations
  
• As a consumer, it is mandatory to pay prescribed amount as advised by respective board. (even the electricity is not consumed, each states has different default charges levied to its active consumers and the same has to be paid)
