Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. Applicant may approach the “District Magistrate” office to apply for this license.
2. Following link provides contact details: online link please select the district name to reach the respective page for contact details.
3. Make sure that you have required documents to process your request.
4. Please confirm that you are eligible to apply.
5. Applicant must submit the respective form.
6. Link for forms: link. Select from the “Rules” and “Form type” drop down menu and click on “Apply”.
7. Report/N.O.C from local administration authority &SSP office need to be obtained.
8. Your application will be accepted with advised fee as per authorities.
9. This application will be processed further.
10. If, required police verification and inquiries would be conducted.
11. If everything in place and upon satisfactory ground the license will be issued.

Note: Grant or rejection of permit depends on the department decision.

Apply Online

1. To Apply for a Cracker and Explosive License, the applicant has to make the application online via – link
2. The applicant has to enter their Login id and password and enter a captcha for verification.
3. If the applicant is a new user the applicant has to click “New User” to register an account.
4. Next, the applicant has to enter their particulars and click “Submit”.
5. Next, the applicant has to select the application form from the list shown on the webpage.
6. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form.
7. Also, upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
8. Review the application and click “Save”.
9. Next the applicant has to pay the prescribed fee by clicking the “Pay Now” button.
10. Pay the fee online mode and click the “Save and Submit” button.
11. Also, the applicant can download the acknowledgment receipt and application form by clicking the “Print” button.
12. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
13. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
14. The CCE will verify the information provided in the renewal application and may inspect the licensee's premises to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
15. When the document is ready to be collected, the applicant will be sent an SMS from the office and the applicant can collect it by themselves or arrange a courier service for collection.
16. This entire process can be completed within 15 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

• No objection from fire service department
• Report/N.O.C from local administration authority & SSP office need to be obtained.
• No objection from local body
• Particulars of previous license if any
• Description of place, where the storage is intended to be carried out.
• No objection certificate of the tenant, if the business is intended to be carried out on the land *of tenant other than the applicant.
• Recent copy of Form-F of the land housing the Storage Facility.
• Aadhaar Card

• Shop and Establishment License as per requirement.
• Character verification report from concerned as per requirement.

Note:

• Applicant shall use the local address obtained as per the link above for the state to apply.

Eligibility

• Applicants must be above 18 years old.
• Not sentenced or convicted of any offence involving violence or moral turpitude for a term of not less than six months, at any time during a period of five years after the expiration of the sentence.
• Applicant should not have any connection or executions in code of Criminal Procedure.
• Applicant license under the Explosives Act has not been cancelled, whether before or after the commencement of the Indian Explosives (Amendment) Act, at any time during a period of five years from the date of cancellation of such license.

Validity

• Validity of the Cracker License on Temporary basis will be Maximum of 15 days and on Permanent basis for 1 Year (Financial Year)
• Renewed every year (Optional)

NOTE : When applying for a temporary license to sell or to store on seasonal demand like Diwali – This licence will be issued in a time of 1 week to 1 month as decided by local authorities
