To apply for a Temporary vehicle Permit in Uttar Pradesh applicant has to approach the RTO office where the permit was obtained. Following link can provide you information related to the list of RTO office: link

Make sure that all the required documents are in hand.
The applicant should make sure they are eligible for the process
Application forms can be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that should be completed and presented along with documents and appropriate fees.
Officials would start processing your application.
Important verifications for the permit includes Vehicle condition, Seating arrangements, Body built etc.. will be carried by authorities.
After checking the vehicle for its correctness and other appropriate requirements the application will be processed further.

Apply online

Use the following: Link1 and select “Permit Online” option under Other online services
Select Uttar Pradesh in the drop down menu and click “proceed”
Please follow the screen and fill in prompted details to process your online procedure
Upload required documents and take printout of acknowledgement.
On the appointment date, go to RTO office before 11:30 am and submit the documents. Once you submit and pay the fee, rest of the procedure will happen as per how you apply in-person.

Enter the application number as prompted and click “Get user Details” to reach next page and complete the page prompts to process online in getting appointment

Valid Insurance Certificate
No-objection Certificate from the financier if the vehicle is covered by hire purchase *Agreement/Hypothecation/Lease.
Payment of green tax wherever applicable.
Pollution under control certificate
Proof of payment of tax for the current quarter.

ValidityEdit

Usually temporary permit is valid for 4 months(17 weeks) and can be renewed for a maximum of one year
Renewal of permit can be obtained with Vehicle fitness certificate and FC as per authorities of concerned RTO.
The age of the vehicle also limits the validity

Temporary Vehicle Permit is needed for

Temporary Permits are effective for a limited period which shall not in any case exceed four months, to authorize the use of a transport vehicle temporarily for the conveyance of passengers on special occasions such as

- For the purposes of a seasonal business,
- To meet a particular temporary need
