Apply In-Person

  1. In order to obtain new ration card, applicant should get the application form from the respective CSC centers Or the food and logistic department Or through online.
  2. User can use the following contact numbers to locate their nearest food and logistic department :TollFree No: 1967 &  1800 1800 150

  5. Go to the respective food and logistic center and submit the complete application form and attach all the required documents.
  6. Authority will issue a receipt as an acknowledgement for the application made. Please keep it safe for further reference.
  7. This application is sent automatically to the concerned Ward/ Grama Panchayath official for verification through computer software.
  8. The concerned official visits the house of the applicant for verification and approves the ration card, if the applicant is found eligible.
  9. Further processing will result in issuance of ration card to the eligible applicant
Note: The applicant is informed through SMS at various stages i.e., Advance intimation about date of visit of the official to his place of residence for verification of his application, Approval/Rejection of his application.


v Apply through CSC

  1. Go to your nearest CSC center. Link for CSC locator: link
  2. Applicant has to collect application form for new ration card (pay for form as required). Complete the form attach all required documents and submit it to the CSC operator.
  3. CSC operator will fill your online UP Ration Card Application Form. After that operator will give you the Print out of your filled online application form.
  4. Applicant will receive a transaction ID in his registered mobile number. This will be useful to track the status of application.
  5. Now your application will be forwarded to the Department of Food & Logistics Uttar Pradesh.
  6. After verification of all your documents your application will be granted by the Department.
  7. This application is sent automatically to the concerned Ward/ Grama Panchayath official for verification through computer software.
  8. The concerned official visits the house of the applicant for verification and approves the ration card, if the applicant is found eligible.
  9. Further processing will result in issuance of ration card to the eligible applicant



Apply Online

  1. Please go to: online link
  2. Please login using the prompted details. If new user, then click the option “New User Registration?” and follow the screen prompt to register.
  3. Once login, user gets a page to select Apply for integrated services option from the right part of the screen to get the information on available integrated service quota.
  4. User has to click “Integrated Department service” tab to get the next page. In the given options , please select “Food and Civil Supplies/Ration (card)” option to get the next page.
  5. Applicant should select NFSA on the left corner of this page provided under online ration card management
  6. User should select the applicable option from the provided page to get the next page. (n this page other options are available for editing the applicant details, to find the status of application and other options for the submitted one)
  7. Here user will select the place and other prompt to hit the given tab to get next page.
  8. User should fill 6 pages to follow with basic details, followed by address details, family details, bank details, uploading attachments and NFSA criteria by selecting respective option for reaching successive pages as listed above.
  9. Once all the details are filled and successfully submitted, user get the application number and acknowledgement for the transaction made.
  10. Further process will be carried by the respective department to issue the ration card.

  • A copy of age certificate / school leaving certificate of the head of the family.
  • A copy of income proof of the family - that income of the family is below from the prescribed limit.
  • A copy of identity proof like voter ID card, driving license, Aadhar card.
  • Passport size photograph of the applicant.
  • Self Declaration and Certificate From Pradhan/Ward Councillor
  • Mobile number or Email addresses may be filled up in the format to enable this department to send an automated message to the applicant on the status of the application.
  • A self addressed and stamped postal cover or postcard to enable the office to communicate the results to the applicant.
  • Tenancy agreement if the applicant is a tenant

EligibilityEdit

  • The applicant and his/her family must be Indian citizens and should be resident of the state
  • The applicant or his family members must not possess any family card in any State in India (If they had one, it has to be withdrawn)
  • The applicant and members of the family must be close relatives
  • If you are newly married and have your name in your family ration card, you and your spouse should get name deletion certificates (Removing names from your respective family cards).

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • For implementation of the Targeted Public Distribution System(TPDS), Ration Card is being issued to all the heads of families, with details about family members included in the card. Based on their economic condition, people can buy goods like food grains, sugar and kerosene with the help of their ration cards.
  • If a person wants to apply for ration card, then he / she have to apply to the rationing office of his area. Ration card is issued by the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department.
  • The government also offers temporary ration cards valid for shorter periods of time which will help provide relief under special circumstances.
  • Ration card is an essential document through which a person’s nationality is identified.
  • Ration card is essential to apply for passport, PAN card or a domicile certificate or to even get the name registered for electoral rolls to get a Voter ID.

    • AAY cards.: The AAY cards are issued to the citizens of Uttar Pradesh who are very poor and do not have any stable income source.
