Step: 1 For Applying Pet Sitter Course

  1. To Obtain Pet Sitter Certification, the applicant has to approach the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters link
  2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the authorized officer.
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form (Incomplete application forms are not accepted)
  4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page (Both photocopies and originals).
  5. The applicant should attach the photocopies of the required documents while submitting.
  6. Fee for this procedure has mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
  7. Applicant can submit the application form and the documents to the respective office.
  8. The authority will review the application form; upon successful completion, the authority will inform the joining instruction by visiting the office.
  9. The processing time for this procedure takes up to 10days.


Step: 2 Completing and Passing the Course

  1. Certification is awarded once enough credits are earned in each section.
  2. Credits are earned by successfully passing a quiz with a score of at least 75%. Possible percentages vary depending on the number of questions of the respective quiz.


Step: 3 Tracking the Score

  1. After finishing each segment quiz, the applicant can track the score by using this link
  2. Sign in using the credentials.
    Note: While joining to this course, the user’s name and the password is given to the applicant.
  3. After sign in process, click the “Tracking Score” button.
  4. View the score point of the test.


Step: 4 Certificate Progress

  1. Once the applicant has earned enough credits, they will be emailed with a prompt to view the new Certificate.
  2. The applicant can also view earned Certifications, requirements, and progress through the link
    Note: login with the user’s name and password, download the certificate.
  3. If the applicant does not pass the course/exam, they are eligible to re-take any failed quiz one additional time at no cost.

Complete certification courses (For NAPPS): $245 for members/$395 for non-members

Validity of the pet sitter certification is 3 years.

  • It also includes business development and management, pet safety and a complete pet first aid course.
  • The NAPPS Certification acknowledges that the pet sitter is a serious professional who has obtained a high level of expertise through his/her study.

  • The deadline to complete the NAPPS Certification Course is 6-months (from date of purchase).
