EligibilityEdit

  • Must be a legal Uruguayan citizen.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must undergo the Familiarization Course Maritime Technical School (ETM)
  • Must have a Certificate of tetanus vaccine.

The cost for shipping permit can be referred to the Personnel Records Division.

Following are the procedures on how to apply for shipping permit in Uruguay. A shipping permit enables people to navigate as an apprentice or boy on merchant ships of the national flag, in order to prove the navigation time (180 days) corresponding to the subsequent obtaining the book shipment.
