ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person:

  1. To Apply for a Green Card (Permanent Resident Card), the applicant has to approach the U.S Citizenship and Immigration Service link

  2. The applicant has to download the application form from the following link
  3. The Applicant should make sure to carry all the documents that are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page (Both photocopies and originals).
  4. Applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the form and attach the photocopies of the documents that are needed along with the application form before submitting.
  5. Submit the application form along with the document to the U.S Citizenship and Immigration Service.
  6. The fee for this procedure is mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
  7. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  8. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
  9. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
  10. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets the call from the office regarding the card.
  11. The applicant has to visit the nearest USICS office for biometric service.
  12. Also, the respective officer will do the interview to the applicant with the submitted documents.
  13. After all the process gets done, the applicant gets the card through mail.
  14. This entire process can be completed within 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
