Procedure

Apply In Person

1. To Apply for Pet Passport (Dog, Cat, etc), the applicant has to approach the UAE's Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) link
2. Take your pet to the veterinarian to review and confirm that all necessary vaccinations, treatments, and documentation are in order.
3. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
5. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
7. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
9. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
10. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
11. The officer will conduct a site inspection to verify the information provided in the application and assess the environmental impact of the mining operation.
12. Once the permit is approved, the applicant will need to collect the license from the office.
13. This entire process can be completed within 10 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for a pet passport for your dog or cat in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), you must meet the following requirements:

• The applicant pet must be microchipped with a 15-digit ISO standard microchip.
• The applicant pet must have a valid rabies vaccination certificate. The vaccination must have been administered at least 30 days before your pet's arrival in the UAE and no more than 1 year before your pet's arrival.
• The applicant pet must have a health certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian within 10 days of your pet's arrival in the UAE.
• The applicant pet must be free of any contagious diseases.
• The applicant pet must be accompanied by a valid passport.

Fees

• The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
