Turks and Caicos Islands - Obtain Marriage License

ProcedureEdit

  1. Gather all documents you will need to present or submit when you apply for a marriage license:
    1. Photo Identification / Passport ID
    2. Birth Certificate
    3. Certificate of No-Impediment, this can be obtained from the Registry, Country/State where the applicant resides
    4. If applicable: Divorce Decree, Death Certificate (if widow or widower) and, copy of Marriage Certificate verifying the marriage between the deceased Spouse and Declarant
    5. If applicable: Copy of TCI Immigration Arrival and Departure Stamp
    6. Persons under the age of 21 years must have consent from parents of guardians
  2. Applicants will asked to complete an Affidavit of Single Status (the Office will provide the form) and two Declaration Forms.
  3. Submit the completed forms together with all other required documents to the Registrar General's Office. The Office is under the Ministry of Border Control and Employment, you may use the contact information provided below to inquire which offices process marriage license applications.
  4. Pay the application fee.

Ministry of Border Control and Employment

Ministry of Border Control and Employment has three Departments:

  1. Border Control and Enforcement;
  2. Employment Services; and
  3. Registration, Permanent Status and Citizenship.

These three Departments administer all decisions and actions under the Immigration Ordinance and Regulations; relevant sections of the Employment Ordinance; the Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages Ordinance; relevant sections of the Marriage Ordinance and Adoption Ordinance; and relevant laws on oaths, deeds and debentures.

The Ministry has set up a single front office, the one stop shop. This is where all customers can go to for any query or application for any of the immigration, citizenship, registration or document services provided by the Ministry and its Departments.
