Procedure

1. To apply for a President's License, couples must submit an application to the Registrar General's Department.
2. Applicants must submit their application in person. They will be required to present these following documents:
   1. Valid proof of identity
   2. Original divorce absolute or death certificate of previous spouse and certified translation thereto, if applicable.
   3. Letter explaining why such a Licence is required.
3. Pay the application fee.

Eligibility

• Both parties must be resident in Trinidad and Tobago for seven (7) days prior to the date of application.
• Both parties must appear before Marriage Clerk.

Fees

Application fee: $100.00

Validity

Explain the time until which the certificate/document is valid.
e.g. Birth Certificate Valid Forever
