Trinidad and Tobago - Apply for Household Items Grant
ProcedureEdit
- To apply for the Household Items Grant, you must visit the Social Welfare Division office in your district and speak to an officer.
- The officer will complete an application form and have the application reviewed by the people in charge of approving the grant.
- When you file your application, you will be asked to present estimates coming from the supplier of the household items. For fire victims, you will need to submit a letter issued by the Fire Services Association.

EligibilityEdit
To apply for a Household Items Grant applicants must be:
- A victim of disaster such as hurricane, fire or flood.
- A client of the Ministry of Social Development and Family Services or other needy person who is in dire need of basic household items but is unable to purchase them.

InstructionsEdit
The Household Items grant gives money for the purchase of beds, mattresses, appliances, kitchen utensils, etc.
The maximum amount you can avail from the program is TT$6,000.00 and is only available once every three (3) years.
A one-time grant of TT$10,000 is available in the case of emergency or disasters.
