ProcedureEdit

  • Any person or business interested in applying for an Export Licence should obtain and complete the "Application for Licence to Export Goods out of Trinidad and Tobago" form, which can be picked up from the Trade Licence Unit Office or from Customs and Excise in Tobago.
  • Application forms must be completed in triplicate and using block letters. The applicant's company stamp must be inserted next to the signature section on the form, where applicable. When completing the application form, be sure to enter the H.S.Tariff (Heading No.) Number, the Cost of Insurance and Freight (C.I.F.) amount and the terms of payment for the goods to be exported.
  • All three copies of the completed application form must be signed and, together with all required documentation, brought to the Trade Licence Unit Office or Customs and Excise in Tobago.

A Trade Licence Unit employee will review the application and all required documentation. If the application is acceptable, one stamped copy of the Export Licence application form will be returned to you. This stamped copy must be presented when you return to the Trade Licence Unit Office to collect the prepared Export Licence.
