Procedure

1. To obtain a Certificate of Nationality, applicants will need to go to the Palace of Justice.
2. Applicants will need to provide these following documents:
   1. Original and a copy legalized the Declaration of birth of the applicant or any room in lieu.
   2. The original and a legalized copy of the certificate of nationality of the parents
   3. ID photo
   4. For the wife who wishes to acquire Togolese nationality by marriage, you must provide the original and a legalized copy of the certificate of nationality of your husband. You will also need to submit the original and a legalized copy of your birth and marriage certificate.
   5. With regard to a child born in Togo, the following documents must be submitted: the original and a copy legalized the Declaration of birth of the father, the mother and the child, proof of residence and a social investigation report.
3. Submit all the required documents and pay the application fee.
