Procedure

1. Couples who wishes to get married in Togo must file their declaration of intention to get married at their local city hall. Applicants will need to file their declaration at least 45 days before their target wedding date.
2. Applicants will also need to submit the following documents:
   1. Extract of birth certificate (for each applicant), the document must not be older than 6 months
   2. Certificate of Residence
   3. Photocopy of the IDs of the applicants
   4. Photocopy of the IDs of the witnesses
   5. For the military, a marriage license issued by the head of State Major General of the Togolese Armed Forces
   6. For minors under 21 age: a permission issued by the Prosecutor of the Republic
   7. For minors under 17 age: a permission of the parents of the future bride.
3. Pay all the necessary fees.
